MEET THE TEAM!
Jaye C. GardinerPrincipal Investigator | she/herJaye received a B.A. in Biology from Macalester College and her Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Her graduate thesis investigated how HIV effectively spreads between cells and the consequence of that infection on cellular behavior. She completed her postdoctoral training at the Fox Chase Cancer Center where she used advanced microscopy, biochemical techniques, and bioinformatics to understand the fibrotic tumor microenvironment of pancreatic cancer and how the cells responsible (fibroblasts) are epigenetically regulated. When not in lab, you can find Jaye attempting to become one with yarn (aka crocheting), chasing her pet bunny, working out, reading and/or creating comics, or playing video games.

BeatriceLab MascotBeatrice is a Philly-born bun who loves being the center of attention. Fiercely independent (when out of her cage), she'll pay you no mind unless you have treats. Then she'll demand both treats and pets (in that order). A voracious lover of cilantro, she thinks that if it tastes like soap to you then there's more for her. When not eating, you can find her lounged out, binkying, or looking for her next treat.
